The 8K DVB  is a broadcast signal standard extensively used worldwide, particularly in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Australia. North America accelerated the adoption of 8K in 2020 using the alternative standard ATSC 3.0( NextGen TV). The brands and models of televisions expected to be the first to support this initiative have yet to be revealed. Nonetheless, there is a slim likelihood that 8K TV channels may develop quickly in Europe shortly. More sophisticated codecs, such as AV1, AVS3, and VVC, should be added in future editions and support dynamic range and high frame rates. The next edition of the Versatile Video Coding codec is expected to appear early next year.
