This course is ideal for women who may be returning to work after a break, college leavers and career changers; anyone that is motivated for a career in software Engineering but need to learn the core skills first. The scheme is a 14 week programme delivered in partnership with an external training provider. It will incorporate a full immersive week, followed by evening sessions covering front end and back end development, ending on a project delivery of your choice. The course will be delivered onsite at the BBC. The curriculum will deliver the most up to date technologies, with practical applications, all of which will be underpinned by core personal development sessions for the participants success.  BBC chief technology and product officer Matthew Postgate said that women are underrepresented in the sector overall and the BBC, like many other employers in the industry, would want to change this. This scheme is meant to give the perfect grounding to women from all walks of life for a new career in technology. Upon successful completion of the programme all participants will have the opportunity to apply for an Associate Software Engineer role within BBC Design + Engineering. To apply, click here.
