This is definitely a top-class phone but it also arrives at a very premium price. To own one you are going to need Kes. 99,999/- (approximately $1000) in your wallet. As Huawei was toiling to dominate the premium smartphone segment, the US government slapped it hard with a blacklist forcing Google to withdraw Huawei’s access to Android operating system. Although Huawei confirmed it will keep updating current software on devices it seems highly unlikely that phones, such as the P30 Pro, will receive any major Android upgrades in the future and that could be hugely disappointing for users. It comes with a 6.26-inch screen with a hole punch display, that same Kirin 980 processor and there’s even a four camera setup on the rear. HONOR 20s photography system leads the field with a Sony IMX586 48MP Main Camera, as well as a 16MP Super Wide Angle Camera, 2MP Depth Assist Camera and 2MP Macro Camera. The smartphone is also equipped with AIS Super Night Mode, letting users record their magic moments in great details even in dimly-lit scenarios. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 128GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM. The HONOR 20 also has something called Super Bluetooth, with HONOR boasting that it uses AI algorithms to adjust its Bluetooth signals and connect to devices more than 244 meters away – further than any other phone tested. This phone comes with an industry-leading technology including Kirin 980 chipset, GPU Turbo 3.0, a 3,750 mAh battery and Virtual 9.1 Surround Sound. On the rear, HONOR 20 redefines the user experience by becoming the first product in HONOR’s history to introduce a multi-dimensional, Dynamic Holographic glass back, available in either Sapphire Blue or Midnight Black. As much as the price for this phone is a bit of a bargain, it’s worth being aware of the current climate surrounding Huawei and its HONOR brand. Google recently revealed its new Android Q operating system which is expected to be released later this year. Unfortunately if things don’t turn around, the new ban could mean Huawei and HONOR users will now be stuck with the current Android 9 Pie OS and won’t ever get to see the new features on offer with Q.
