How to Find Available Font Styles in Google Slides When you want to change the font type of your text in Google Slides, you can select from a default list of fonts. When you select a text box, the drop-down menu appears in the menu bar. In your presentation, select a text box and then click the down arrow next to the font name. A drop-down menu with a list of fonts will appear. While this is still a good list of fonts, it does not include all of the available fonts. If you can’t find the font you’re looking for, go to the drop-down menu’s top and select “More Fonts.” The Fonts window will be displayed. This is the location where you can find all of the fonts available in Google Slides. If you know the name of the font you’re looking for, type it into the Search box in the upper-left corner of the window. Filters can also be used to sort and display the available fonts. The filters can be configured using the drop-down menus to the right of the Search box. Scripts: Choose fonts for languages with different writing systems, such as Japanese, Hebrew, and Arabic. Display: Display all available fonts, or filter font styles by “Display,” “Handwriting,” “Monospace,” “Serif,” or “Sans Serif.” Sort: Sort the fonts available by popularity, alphabetical order, date added, or currently trending fonts. To open the drop-down menu, click the down arrow to the right of the box, then select the filter option from the menu. Now that you know where and how to find the other fonts, you can add (or remove) them from your list. How to Add and Remove Fonts from a List It’s as simple as clicking to add a font to your list. When you click a font, it will be added to your “My Fonts” list on the right. Click the “X” next to a font to remove it from your “My Fonts” list. When you’re done adding and removing fonts from your list, click the blue “OK” button in the bottom-left corner of the window. When editing your slides, each font added or removed from your “My Fonts” list will be reflected in the fonts drop-down menu. You can do some basic formatting with the new font on the screen, such as italicizing or underlining the text. These are the fundamental functions you must understand to create a professional presentation. Fortunately, there are numerous keyboard shortcuts available to assist you with text formatting. If you learn these, you’ll be a pro in no time.
