Launched on the 1st of July 2016, Skillsearch is a web-based platform that enables skilled Nigerians earn extra income by connecting them with potential clients. The platform also serves as a job portal, allowing potential clients to post jobs that can viewed, and applied for by registered members whose skills match the job description. To use the platform, all it takes is creating a profile account, selecting skills that best suit you from a wide range of categories, uploading previous works to prove competence and then waiting for the next clients in search of skilled workers. With the unemployment population in Nigeria still on the increase, Skillsearch sure has a chance for survival. Although, the platform still has to deal with tons of competitors, and can to remain relevant in the saturated job market, it has to keep innovating.
