The model available in the X70 range showcased last Thursday includes the Vivo X70 Pro plus, which is the first to use the image signal processor(ISP) developed by the manufacturer himself together with Zeiss.
A flagship without instabilities
Vivo is taking its post-high-end smartphones very serious in different global markets. The X70 Pro plus has the same support from the brand. First it is very different from its younger siblings as it prefers the 6.7 diagonal rather than the 6.56 compared to other models within the x70 range. The manufacturer has an AMOLED E5 screen from Samsung backed by 1440 X 3200 pixels, thus offering a 1 to 120HZ refresh rate. Sampling takes place at 300 HZ. Therefore, you are assured of 100% responsiveness from this model. Another prominent robust feature is its outstanding performance, thanks to the 888+ chipset from Snapdragon. It is also backed by 8 to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256 to 512 GB of storage in UFS 3.1, and a 4500 mAh rechargeable battery of 55W. The X70 Pro plus is also waterproof, thanks to its IP68 certification to liquid and dust. Last but not least, what makes this phone very special, unlike the X60 pro version, is its photographic function. It comes with an in-house ISP, thus easier to take much less noisy images due to its AI calculations. We find a 50 megapixels wide-angle lens,48 megapixels ultra-wide-angle lens,12 megapixels telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel periscope (5x zoom, OIS, 1.0 µm, f/3.4). For the camera, the manufacturer has used a 32-megapixel photo module.
Other models
The manufacturer also showcased the Vivo X70 Pro and the Vivo X70 smartphones apart from the Vivo X70 Pro plus model. The two smartphones can’t be ignored entirely unless you are in your déjà vu state of mind. To simplify things here, we are just emphasizing the 6.56 screen size of AMOLED type using 120 Hz refresh rate(for both), a MediaTek 1200 chipset(X70) and Exynos 1080(X70 Pro), there is also 8 GB of RAM for 128 GB of storage and a 4400 mAh(X70),4450 mAh(X70 Pro) supported by 44W for both. For the Camera part, the X70 model utilises 40mp on the main module and 12mp on ultra-wide and Telephoito lenses.OIn the other hand, the X70 pro model uses 50 megapixels on the wide-angle lens and 8megapixel on the periscope lens. All three models will land in India, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and Taiwan. We hope that it won’t take long before it’s officially introduced in Kenya. We comment on their prices once they are launched in the country
